The Future of Recovery: Hybrid Physical Therapy

Traditional PT often fails because life doesn’t happen in a clinic 45 minutes a week. The biggest barrier to your results is consistency. Hybrid PT removes the friction, blending 1:1 clinical expertise with 24/7 integration to keep you moving forward every single day.

Our 4 Step Proven Process

At Hybrid PT, we don’t believe in “quick fixes” that disappear the moment you leave the clinic. Our methodology is built on a structured, physiological progression designed to move you from acute pain to peak performance with total confidence.

Step 1: Reduce Pain

We start by quieting the system. Using our “medicine movement” approach, we introduce specific exercises designed to rapidly control pain and stimulate therapeutic blood flow. This brings essential healing properties to the injury site and begins “awakening” the supporting muscles necessary for your initial recovery.

Step 2: Introduce Variability

As pain subsides, we begin to challenge your body in a controlled environment. We low-dose aggravating movements, the ones you’ve been avoiding, to build tissue tolerance and safely expand your range of motion. This phase is about teaching your nervous system that it is safe to move again.

Step 3: Strengthen & Load

Now we build the armor. Through progressive loading, we ensure your new, pain-free range of motion can withstand the stress of real-world activity. This is where we shift from short-term relief to long-term resilience, reinforcing your body so your results actually last.

Step 4: Goal Attainment

The final step is the most important: getting you back to what you love. We re-introduce your specific goals while you are still under our care. This allows us to make real-time modifications and ensure your progress continues long after your formal treatment ends.

Meet Your Doctor

Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist. In addition to her doctoral degree, she is a Certified McKenzie Provider, a distinction that allows for a more specialized mechanical assessment of pain and movement.

Throughout her career, she has:

  • Treated 1,000s of athletes across the nation, utilizing a hybrid approach of in-person and virtual care to ensure no one’s progress is limited by their zip code.
  • Mentored over 100 physical therapists in advanced clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, helping to elevate the standard of care across the profession.

The Philosophy

“My purpose is to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and your daily life. When we eliminate the ‘start-and-stop’ nature of traditional therapy and provide constant, 1:1 support, we give you the agency to not just heal, but to build a body that is more resilient than it was before the injury.”

FAQ

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). We will discuss your medical history, assess your movement, and identify the root cause of your discomfort. By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear roadmap for recovery and a personalized plan of care.

How often will I have follow-up appointments?

Most of our patients find the best results initially with two touchpoints per week:

• One in-person session for hands-on treatment and guided exercise.
• One virtual check-in to monitor progress and adjust your home program.

As the program progresses, those touchpoints may reduce as we work towards building self management strategies.

How many total visits will I need?

Recovery timelines vary based on the severity of your injury and your specific goals. On average, patients complete 8 to 12 weeks. Our focus isn’t just on “quick fixes” for pain, we work to address the root cause and implement long-term solutions to prevent the injury from returning.

How long is each session?

You will always receive dedicated, one-on-one care from your DPT.

• In-Person (Evaluation & Follow-ups): 45–60 minutes.
• Virtual Follow-ups: 20 minutes.

Do you accept my insurance?

Hybrid PT is a non-participating provider. We intentionally choose not to contract with insurance companies so we can prioritize you over paperwork. This model allows us to provide higher-quality, one-on-one care that leads to faster results and better outcomes than traditional insurance-based clinics.

Can I use my FSA or HSA funds?

Yes. Because we provide professional healthcare services, we accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). We also accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash.

The CrossFit class is grounded under one basic principle: Position = Power. We teach you how to use techniques to get yourself into better positions, so you are automatically stronger and faster without doing any additional exercise. You will learn a variety of flexibility, massage, and joint mobility techniques to improve your athletic performance, extend your athletic career, treat body stiffness and achy joints, and rehabilitate injuries.

After seeing thousands of athletes move in our group classes and visit our deep tissue therapy office, we saw a clear pattern for healthy performance. We learned that 90% of the most common injuries are preventable and that athletes simply lacked an understanding of simple mechanics and the tools to improve those mechanics through increased flexibility and range of motion.

We teach athletes how to fix their individual nagging aches and pains, prevent injury, and improve athletic performance. Humans have been evolving for millions of years and the human body is extraordinarily engineered. However, none of us were ever given the tools for how to perform basic maintenance on ourselves… until now!
